Honor officially unveils the flagship Honor Magic 6 phones.

Honor officially unveiled the Honor Magic 6 phones, its flagship phones for 2024. They come in a standard version as well as a "Pro" version.


Both phones feature a curved LTPO AMOLED display measuring 6.8 inches with a resolution of 1264 × 2800 pixels and a variable refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz. The brightness reaches up to 1800 nits in normal mode and up to 5000 nits when playing HDR content, with eye protection technologies such as dimming.


The screen on both phones includes a fingerprint sensor and a punch-hole front camera with a 50-megapixel resolution. The Pro version also has an additional 3D face recognition system for unlocking the phone.


The phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 high-performance processor manufactured using 4-nanometer technology, with 12 or 16GB of RAM and 256 or 512GB of storage. The Pro version is also available with an additional terabyte of storage. Both phones run on the new MagicOS 8.0 from Honor, based on Android 14, with many aesthetic additions in the interface and AI-based features.

The Pro version of the Honor Magic 6 Pro has a camera system consisting of 3 cameras in a circular shape; a main camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels with a variable aperture of up to f/1.4, as well as a periscope camera with a resolution of 180 megapixels that provides optical zoom of 2.5x and digital zoom of up to 100x, and a wide-angle camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels.


As for the basic version, it comes with the same design, but with a main camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels and an aperture of f/1.9, a 32-megapixel periscope camera, and a wide-angle camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels.


The Honor Magic 6 Pro phone has a 5600 mAh battery that supports wired charging of up to 80 watts and wireless charging of up to 66 watts, while the basic version has a 5450 mAh battery that supports wired charging of up to 66 watts and wireless charging of up to 50 watts. The company provides a traditional charger in the box, and consumers can purchase the fast wireless charger separately. Both phones support reverse wireless charging at 5 watts.


The phones support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, and 5G networks, with an additional feature for satellite communication.


Honor is releasing its two new phones in several colors, including white, green, black, purple, and blue, with a waterproof and dustproof design to the IP68 standard. The prices of the phones in China range from $620 to $950, depending on the version, storage capacity, and RAM.


Honor has not yet revealed the availability date of the phones in global markets outside of China, and they will be released with varying price increases.
