Western Digital showcases new storage innovations at GITEX Global 2023

Western Digital, the world's leading company in data storage solutions, is participating in GITEX Global 2023, showcasing a range of new products and solutions that meet the diverse storage needs of companies in the Middle East.

Western Digital is participating in this important tech event through its partners QNAP, ASBIS, and Formonix, highlighting its latest innovations in the corporate sector, including the new Ultrastar DC HC670 26TB UltraSMR HDD, which is now available in the region.

The DC HC670 primarily focuses on providing the best storage capacity for data centers in HDD format, with low total cost of ownership, and utilizes Shingled Magnetic Recording (SMR) technology instead of traditional data recording methods.

It is also equipped with a range of technologies on a 10-disk platform, such as OptiNAND™ technology, energy-assisted perpendicular magnetic recording (ePMR), second-generation three-stage actuator (TSA), and HelioSeal® technology.

All of these updates result in an 18% increase in capacity, providing customers from companies investing in advanced technologies with exceptional storage capabilities that surpass those

offered by traditional solutions.

The Ultrastar range is not limited to this solution, as Western Digital also offers the new Ultrastar DC SN655 NVMe dual-port solid-state drive, designed to meet the needs of companies with wide-scale cloud workloads, providing high-quality consistency and handling emerging workloads of big data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, which are increasing in volume and complexity, making it the optimal solution for capacity expansion and increased endurance up to the maximum gigabytes/watt.

Commenting on Western Digital's participation in GITEX Global 2023, Tarek Al-Husseini, Senior Sales Manager at Western Digital in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, said, "We are pleased to attend GITEX Global Technology Exhibition again, which is one of the largest technology events in the world, to showcase our latest innovative products. We take this opportunity during this huge event to showcase our products and also interact with our customers, partners, and industry leaders."

As part of its ongoing efforts to provide the latest storage innovations to its customers, Western Digital recently launched the latest addition to the WD Blue range, the WD Blue SN580 NVMe SSD. The new NVMe PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD drive targets the creative community and professionals in the creative field who want to enhance their productivity and upgrade their computers.

It is also the first solution in the WD Blue range to feature nCache™ 4.0 and NVMe PCIe Gen 4.0 technology, enhancing productivity and performance for improved workflow. The slim and stylish SSD drive is available in capacities ranging from 250GB to 2TB, with lower power requirements and DRAM memory
