Apple plans to add exclusive artificial intelligence features to the iPhone 16.

Apple is working on developing new features based on artificial intelligence, some of which will be exclusively available on the upcoming iPhone 16, according to new leaks.

The company is expected to announce a new version of the personal assistant "Siri" supported by large language models for artificial intelligence with the upcoming iOS 18 and iPasOS 18 systems.

Previous reports indicated that Apple is still discussing whether AI-based processes will be limited to processing on the device or through the cloud, or adopt a hybrid approach that combines both.

According to the latest information available, the upcoming iOS 18 system will bring new cloud-based artificial intelligence features to millions of devices eligible for the upgrade to iOS 18, while other artificial intelligence features processed on the device itself are likely to remain exclusive to the iPhone 16.

Sources indicate that the new features include improving the interaction between Siri and the Messages app, as well as answering complex questions and automatically completing sentences more effectively.

It is also expected to add playlists in the music app automatically, and integration with productivity apps like Pages and Keynote for AI-assisted writing and creating presentations, among others.

Reports also indicate that Apple is on track to spend a billion dollars annually on AI research, with some of the company's top executives overseeing the development, including Vice President of Software Engineering Craig Federighi, Vice President of Machine Learning and AI John Giannandrea, Vice President of Services Eddie Cue, and others.
